Actually, I know two very good places where to get arabic lamps in Dubai. One is the Antique Museum in Al Quoz - in their 4 warehouses, all ceilings are covered with different kinds of lamps - from Morocco to Egypt, Vietnam to Thailand, big and small lamps... check them out for a great variety.
Or else, if you only want arabic lamps at good prices, try
Taizhou Dunhao Trade Co. Ltd.
Would you have expected a shop with this name to be selling arabic lamps?
Not unless somebody told you about this insider tip at Dragon Mart...
I was surprised when I saw this shop the first time, but I made a fabulous deal when buying lots of candle lamps for my wedding decoration!
have a large variety and the lamps really cost much less than in the
souvenir shops in the city - even if you just buy one lamp and not in
bulk like I did!
Prices start at around 25 and 35 Dhs for the small lamps.
The quality is not any different - we all know that probably more than 95% of the arabic lamps sold in Dubai come from China anyways...
By the way, they also sell some perles and stones.
And then there are of course all these other stores in Dragon Mart.. you can find everything in this shopping mall, really everything, and of course all cheap and from China. I have to say though, if you keep your eyes open you can find some goodvand very interesting products to buy. Often you find things which you can't find in any other store in Dubai!
To find the shop:
I am sure you have been to Dragon Mart before?
If not, it is easy to find on Al Khail Road (E44) driving from Dubai in direction Hatta/Oman. Shortly after underpassing Emirates Road (E311) the mall will be on your right side. Take the next exit after the (red) Epco Petrol Station.
Inside the mall, go to the F-Zone (furniture, lamps and lanterns, jewellery, toys). The shop is not on the main aisle. Look for Shop No. FAJ 02.
